More Chiropractic Referrals - Better Patient Retention - More Financial Success
Chiropractic DVDs are the only way to get quality new patient referrals. Have you ever noticed as a chiropractor how little return you get on advertising these days? As a chiropractor myself for 25 years I have tried direct mail marketing, yellow pages, mall screenings, coupons for free exams and x-rays, telemarketing, and everything else you could imagine. But the results were always subpar.
And even when you finally get a new patient from one of these forms of advertising, the patient may come into your office once or twice and then never be seen again. It can become quite frustrating, because the patients you get from this type of advertising are usually poor quality patients who don't come in for enough treatment to keep your practice growing steadily. You spend your money on advertising, and then if you're lucky, you get enough new patients from that advertising who will come in enough so that you will barely break even on your advertising. And when those patients quit coming into your office you feel the need to continue with your advertising because there is no other way for you to get new patients. It's a vicious cycle.
Let me tell you something from a lot of years of chiropractic experience; If you want to build up a large successful self-sustaining and self-generating practice, you will not do it by advertising alone. The only way to build up a successful chiropractic practice is through patient referrals.
New chiropractic patients coming from patient referrals are of a much higher quality than new chiropractic patients coming in for a free exam or free x-rays. Referred patients tend to come in more regularly for treatment. Referred patients tend to refer better. And referred patients tend to pay their bills more consistently. So it only makes sense that if you want to build a quality chiropractic practice, you need to be getting your new patients from referrals and not from general advertising.
OK. So now we've agreed that getting new patients through patient referrals is the best way to build your practice. But there's one other important factor that you need to be aware of. It's a very simple concept; The best new patient referrals come from your best patients. In other words, if you can get your best, most chiropractically-knowledgable patients to refer new patients to you, those new patients will be your best quality new patients.
There are two steps to getting your best, most chiropractically-educated patients to refer their friends and family to you. Step one is to educate your patients so that ALL of them are educated in chiropractic. And step two is to get those patients to refer their acquaintences into your office.
For step one, there are two methods you can use to teach and educate your existing patients. You can either teach them one-on-one with you as their instructor, or you can use a much simpler, more entertaining, less time-consuming educational method such as the JMS chiropractic educational videos.
The JMS chiropractic videos will explain to your patients why chiropractic is so necessary for their good health, either generally or after a car accident. Through the use of graphics and video, your patients will be able to learn what causes health and spinal problems, and what chiropractic can do to help improve their health. After viewing these videos, your patients will know why it's so important to receive chiropractic care on a regular basis. And they will also be so excited they will want to tell their family and friends about it too.
Can you imagine how many referrals, and I mean good referrals, you could get if your patients knew more about the importance of chiropractic and started handing out your own customized chiropractic DVD videos to everyone they knew? Videos that had your name and office information on them? Videos that had celebrities extolling the benefits of chiropractic? JMS chiropractic videos can help you educate your patients on chiropractic, which will excite them enough to want to tell others. Sit your patients down in front of the TV for a few minutes and then give them some JMS chiropractic DVDs to hand out to their friends. That's how to build up a successful referral-centered practice. |
